Job Location : 275 Grove Street, Suite 101C, Newton, MA 02466 and position may telecommute from anywhere in the US up to 5 days per week Job Title : Senior Proposal Manager Duties: Parexel International LLC seeks a Senior Proposal Manager based in Newton, MA to receive and analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs) including the study protocol or synopsis from business development. Review and overall accountability for proposal process, including coordination of key operational areas, preparation, review, and strategic development. Transition awarded proposals to Contracts Team, including first-run revisions/negotiations to text and budgets for newly awarded projects. Liaise with internal teams and departments to perform research to support proposal development. Recommend proposal to senior management, including and study conduct strategy and internal resourcing. Facilitate multi-disciplinary discussions with senior management to assure full input. Ensure agreement follows timelines and deliverables outlined during strategy meetings, and follow-up regarding adherence. Draft proposed budgets to reflect internal and client needs, including strategic output. Facilitate pricing discussions with appropriately identified key decision makers. Provide quality client deliverable to strict deadlines. Participate in client meetings and calls related to RFPs, budget discussions, and Requests for Information. Participate in proposal defense meetings with clients. Facilitate development of client-ready compelling proposals, including drafting strategic proposal text and developing supporting project budgets. Position may telecommute from anywhere in the US up to 5 days per week.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field plus 2 years of bid proposal experience, including:
  • (1) developing client proposals in the drug research cycle;
  • (2) overseeing multi-part client RFPs and programs;
  • (3) leading strategy meetings to identify issues and client requirements, identify key strategy team members, recommend proposal strategy, and establish agreement on timelines and deliverables;
  • (4) leading multi-disciplinary discussions with senior management to ensure quality of output;
  • (5) creating client-specific proposal text to reflect strategy discussions;
  • (6) developing budgets to reflect internal and client needs, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and competitiveness of pricing, including facilitating pricing discussions with key decision makers, mapping to client budget specifications, adherence to strict deadlines, and providing QC of proposals and budgets prior to final client deadline;
  • (7) facilitate pricing discussions with key decision makers, participating in client meetings to explain budget cost drivers, and developing commercial terms, discount structures, and bonus/penalty incentives;
  • (8) providing quality checks of proposals and budgets to meet final client deadlines;
  • (9) proposal management experience in a CRO environment at multinational company.
