About The Position

This role is to create and execute sourcing strategies for the North American Business Unit, building strong supplier and stakeholder relationships while contributing to cost savings and operational efficiency. As a Senior Project Procurement Specialist, you will be part of the global manufacturing procurement team, reporting to the Head of Procurement, and supporting successful delivery and installation at customer sites.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years’ experience in a purchasing role
  • 1+ year experience in developing strategic/custom purchasing strategies, with RMA process knowledge
  • Strong understanding of best-in-class purchasing transactional processes
  • Ability to develop and execute effective purchasing strategies
  • Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams
  • Experience working in cross-functional, multinational environments
  • Advanced knowledge of purchasing tools, particularly Oracle P2P
  • Knowledge of vendor selection methodologies, with a degree in Commercial/Financial studies or equivalent experience (professional purchasing certification preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Work with Business Units and Support Functions to understand business needs and supply base
  • Provide guidance and support to internal customers
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business goals
  • Adapt sourcing strategies to changing business needs
  • Select suppliers and negotiate commercial terms
  • Identify risks and opportunities in the supply chain
  • Drive cost reduction and meet annual savings targets
  • Manage sourcing and operational purchasing for assigned projects
  • Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procurement processes
  • Provide performance measurements against service levels and gather business feedback
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Supplier Quality teams to ensure quality and business alignment
  • Report to the Head of Manufacturing Procurement within the Business Unit
  • Conduct regular supplier visits across Canada and the United States to build strong partnerships and drive best-in-class results.
