About The Position

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Principal Procurement Specialist to support our Seating division in Winston-Salem. In this role, you’ll drive supplier performance, ensure material availability, and lead strategic initiatives to improve procurement operations and delivery outcomes. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to resolve supply challenges, mitigate risks, and help keep production running smoothly while advancing continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  • Moderate Excel skills: Example - pivot tables, data reports, filter spreadsheets, V-Look Ups
  • SAP Experience placing POs

Responsibilities

  • Manage a group of suppliers from part setup/order placement to delivery.
  • Generate required key metric packs to ensure individual/department goals are on track.
  • Managing the supplier relationship and improvement activities
  • Forward looking for trends, supplier risks, drop in demands, using procurement tools
  • Review critical shortages with the Planner and stakeholders.
  • Work with suppliers to improve deliveries and close gaps.
  • Analyze root causes to lead resolution to a permanent fix that will mitigate a repeat of overdue deliveries
  • Leads a strategic effort to find solutions to ongoing issues that prevent Buyers from placing purchase orders
  • Other projects assigned and directed by Leadership.
  • Provide Purchasing production line support as assigned.
