About The Position

The University of Sydney Business School (USBS), one of the world’s top 1% of triple‑accredited business schools, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Officer to support the integration of the EPR Program within its new six‑school structure. This role sits at the intersection of projects and operations, coordinating casual academic allocations and payments, strengthening systems and processes, and working closely with School Managers to ensure accuracy, compliance, and data integrity. Supporting the transition to a six‑school model, the role helps realign workforce practices, governance, and EPR systems to enable consistent and compliant engagement across multiple schools, while acting as a key point of contact for stakeholders to support effective, well‑governed delivery.

Requirements

  • previous experience in the higher education/tertiary sector or at a complex, multi-faceted organisation
  • demonstrated experience managing diverse internal and external stakeholders on large or complex projects, ideally within a complex or matrixed organisation
  • strong planning, analytical, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines
  • excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with proven ability to negotiate, resolve issues, and exercise tact and discretion
  • highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when working with systems, data, and compliance‑driven processes.

Responsibilities

  • provide project management support to develop as consistent delivery and ongoing operation of the EPR requirements across the Faculty, ensuring alignment with program milestones and work‑stream objectives
  • reviewing and improving processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and alignment with policy and project requirements
  • working in partnership with School Managers and stakeholders to ensure systems are consistently applied and maintained with a strong focus on data accuracy and compliance , ensuring workforce planning practices align with approved budgets, timelines, and operational needs
  • Co-ordinating the chaperoning process across multiple schools, ensuring consistent practices, compliance, and timely outcomes
  • monitoring system performance and workflows, identifying risks or issues and implementing corrective actions to keep delivery on track.
