About The Position

The Senior Project Manager is accountable for the planning, execution, and delivery of complex facility expansion and capital improvement projects, including brownfield and greenfield developments, major retrofits, and large-scale equipment installations. This role owns projects from early planning through close-out and partners closely with Operations, Engineering, EHS, Finance, and external contractors. The position requires independent decision-making, strong leadership presence, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience managing complex facilities, construction, or capital projects.
  • Proven experience leading brownfield and greenfield expansion projects, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage large project budgets, detailed schedules, and multiple workstreams.
  • Strong working knowledge of construction practices, contractor management, and industrial safety standards.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly present project status, risks, and recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions without direct authority.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-focused, with a practical, solutions-driven approach.
  • Ability to make sound, timely decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable operating in a high-visibility role with responsibility for critical business initiatives

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience supporting large-scale manufacturing or industrial operations.
  • Familiarity with long-range site planning and capital investment strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain an integrated master schedule, risk and issue log, and cross-functional dependency tracking to ensure full visibility of program status and critical paths.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules; proactively identify risks and implement mitigation plans to maintain timelines.
  • Set up and continuously refine governance cadence and reporting standards (SteerCo packs, dashboards, KPIs) to drive informed and timely decisions.
  • Support work stream leaders in planning, execution, risk management, and team communication
  • Coordinate CAPEX planning and facility-related milestones together with Operations, Finance, and Engineering, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budget control.
  • Provide clear, regular project status updates to senior leadership, including schedule, cost, risks, and key milestones.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align facilities projects with operational, engineering, and business priorities.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to project teams around critical activities to meet overall deadlines and actively look for timeline improvements, with ability to quickly navigate around potential obstacles and drive mitigation plans
  • Drive continuous improvement in project execution, contractor performance and cost and schedule controls.
  • Lead and develop the Project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the Transformation Office and external consultants to maximize outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external standards and regulations
  • Drive change management initiatives and promote a learning culture within project teams
