About The Position

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for coordinating projects with both internal and external clients, ensuring that intradepartmental teams align with project deadlines. This role involves working with the project management team to organize tasks and projects as directed by leadership. The manager will routinely complete complex assignments to resolve issues with consistency, urgency, and accuracy. Key responsibilities include facilitating requirement gathering and scoping, ensuring projects progress according to budget and timelines, and serving as the primary contact for stakeholders. The position requires maintaining documentation, communicating project statuses, and identifying/resolving/escalating emergent project risks. The Senior Project Manager will support Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, ITSM, ITIL, and Continuous Improvement frameworks, and advise staff on applying project management best practices. This role involves scheduling and leading meetings with external stakeholders, conducting data-driven internal project meetings, and communicating effectively at all organizational levels. Additionally, the manager is responsible for protecting organizational assets and the integrity, security, and privacy of information. This is a hybrid position, allowing remote work two days per week and requiring three days per week in the office in La Vista, NE.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or closely-related field
  • Three years of experience in professional project management or closely related
  • 1 year working with multiple project teams
  • Background working with Agile and Waterfall project management implementation models
  • Familiarity working with Jira and Microsoft Project
  • Possess background in negotiation and facilitation skills

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating projects with both internal and external clients, helping to ensure that intradepartmental teams are working in alignment with project deadlines.
  • Work with the project management team to organize tasks and projects as directed by leadership and their delegates.
  • Routinely complete complex assignments to resolve issues with consistency, urgency, and accuracy.
  • Facilitate requirement gathering and scoping and ensure assigned projects are progressing through project timelines in accordance with budget and timelines.
  • Serve as key point of contact for stakeholders, maintain appropriate documentation and/or communicate to provide visibility to project statuses, and identify emergent project risks and either resolve or escalate in alignment with team expectations.
  • Support the Waterfall/Agile / Scrum / ITSM /ITIL and Continuous Improvement frameworks.
  • Consult and advise staff members on how to appropriately apply project management best practices to achieve goals.
  • Schedule and lead meetings related to assigned projects with external stakeholders.
  • Conduct highly focused and data-driven project meetings with internal team members and stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization, providing professional, proactive, and consistent communication.
  • Protect assets and the integrity, security and privacy of information entrusted to or maintained by the organization.
