About The Position

Sabot Consulting is seeking a Senior Project Manager to deliver high‑visibility, high‑complexity projects within the Provider and Agency Hub expansion for our End Client. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards while managing risk, stakeholder expectations, and multi‑team coordination. The Senior Project Manager serves as a key leader in driving project execution, facilitating governance, and supporting organizational alignment across state and vendor teams.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of progressive project management leadership experience delivering complex, enterprise‑scale initiatives.
  • Proven success managing cross‑departmental teams, vendors, and geographically distributed resources.
  • Deep proficiency in Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project methodologies.
  • Experience managing large budgets and performing financial forecasting.
  • Strong risk management and mitigation skills, especially for high-impact issues.
  • Experience supporting or leading public-sector IT or modernization initiatives.
  • Background driving organizational change and stakeholder adoption.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Salesforce, cloud platforms, or multi‑system integrations.
  • Familiarity with state or federal regulatory environments.
  • Prior experience with multi‑program portfolios or PMO maturity initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in partnership with sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource strategies.
  • Establish governance structures, escalation paths, and decision‑making processes.
  • Lead day‑to-day execution of cross-functional teams, including vendors and contractors.
  • Track schedule, scope, cost, and quality; adjust plans as needed to maintain alignment.
  • Manage scope changes through formal change‑control processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate steering committee meetings, project reviews, and executive discussions.
  • Monitor budgets, forecasts, and actual expenditures, reporting variances proactively.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues; escalate when appropriate.
  • Mentor project managers and coordinators to support team capability.
  • Ensure compliance with PMO standards, methodologies, and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain complete audit‑ready project documentation and artifacts.
  • Ensure regulatory and contractual requirements are consistently met.
  • Produce clear, accurate project dashboards, status updates, and leadership presentations.
  • Translate complex technical updates into clear, business-friendly communication.
