About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a background in electric generation, heavy industrial construction, or gas-fired combustion turbine projects. This role requires hands-on experience managing large, complex capital projects and familiarity with multiple technical disciplines. Candidates must be able to support onsite activities, lead vendor and contractor interactions, and ensure execution aligns with schedule, cost, and quality expectations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in electric generation, heavy industrial construction, or gas-fired combustion turbine environments
  • Experience managing large, multi-component projects with internal/external and labor/non-labor cost structures
  • Experience building or managing combined cycle or simple cycle power plants
  • Experience with heavy industrial construction and general contracting; leadership experience preferred
  • Ability to work across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and similar disciplines
  • Strong understanding of Primavera P6, CPM scheduling, cost interfaces, and burn curves
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and contract documents
  • Experience managing OEM contracts, scopes, schedules, and deliverables
  • Ability to draft, review, and manage commercial documents (POs, change orders, notices, material requests, etc.)
  • Understanding of MSAs, contract terms, and order of precedence
  • Ability to lead progress meetings and support construction turnover for commissioning
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to work with diverse project teams
  • Experience in cost management, forecasting, and resource planning
  • Experience applying change management approaches
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Report onsite in Wheatfield, IN, 5 days per week to support all phases of project execution
  • Support fluctuating working hours based on project and contractor requirements
  • Assist the Lead Project Manager with execution oversight, contractor management, and technical/commercial issue resolution
  • Serve as first-line support for change orders, notices, pay applications, schedules of values, and cash flow reviews
  • Assist with development of non-conformance reports, quality control, and safety oversight
  • Maintain contract documents, communicate terms, and manage execution with support from Supply Chain and the Lead PM
  • Prepare RFPs for labor, material, specialty services, and other needs; evaluate bids and support award decisions
  • Monitor contractor performance for contractual compliance and milestone achievement
  • Update commercial terms where necessary, including POs, addendums, and MSAs
  • Use project tools to plan, forecast, estimate, track cost, and monitor performance
  • Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and critical path activities
  • Develop clear documentation, reports, diagrams, and visuals to communicate complex topics
  • Prepare monthly status reports and presentations for leadership
  • Facilitate collaboration across engineering, construction, supply chain, and commissioning teams
  • Assign tasks, monitor work progress, and support the Lead PM in directing the project team
