About The Position

Brayman Construction Corporation in the Greater Pittsburgh, PA area. is actively seeking a dependable full- time Senior Project Manager - Tunneling to interface with project stakeholders, track projects, and develop staff. The full-time role will require travel to project sites and time spent in the corporate office in Saxonburg, PA. This senior project management position earns a competitive wage . In this Senior Project Management role, you have overall responsibility for your assigned projects - which may be multiple projects or one larger complex project. You inspire your team to complete quality construction projects by using your knowledge of the industry and exceptional leadership skills. Your organizational skills shine as you perform contract management, change orders, prepare subcontracts, schedule projects, and consult with superintendents. You will be responsible for CPM schedule, obtaining quotes and purchasing material from subs and suppliers, preparing pay estimates, and dealing with project owners and internal and external stakeholders. As a leader, you enjoy mentoring project management team members, field staff, and overseeing construction projects. Your communication skills come in handy as you build strong relationships with coworkers, clients, and vendors. You ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, which may include Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Management.
  • At least 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction and/or deep foundation construction is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Tunnel Construction experience to include the following:
  • Experience planning and overseeing TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) operations, including scheduled/unscheduled interventions and hard rock tunneling
  • Familiarity with high groundwater pressure conditions and EPB (Earth Pressure Balance) tunneling methods
  • Experience with deep excavation for drop shafts
  • Strong understanding of tunneling safety standards

Nice To Haves

  • Background in joint venture project environments preferred
  • Work experience in both private and public sectors is a plus
  • Experience in dense urban environments preferred
