About The Position

The Senior Project Manager will play a critical leadership role within the company’s Southeast Division, overseeing a portfolio of concurrent traffic signalization, roadway lighting, and infrastructure projects valued from $500K to multimillion dollars each. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, this individual will manage 10–25 active projects, coordinating closely with field Superintendents and Foremen to ensure safety, schedule adherence, and profitability. The Senior Project Manager will also serve as a key client interface—working directly with owners, municipalities, and agencies—while producing weekly reports, cost updates, and project look-ahead schedules. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines field engagement (1–2 days per week) with project administration and client management from the office.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience managing construction projects within transportation, traffic signalization, roadway lighting, or heavy civil sectors.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with diverse scopes and durations (6 months – 3 years).
  • Strong understanding of traffic systems installation, utility coordination, civil construction, and electrical infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated leadership managing field personnel and subcontractors across multiple active job sites.
  • Proficiency with HCSS (Heavy Job) and/or Spectrum for project and financial reporting.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or related field (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple transportation and signalization projects simultaneously, from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Oversee 2–6 Superintendents or Foremen working on active sites.
  • Develop weekly reports and look-ahead schedules to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Coordinate with project owners, engineers, and municipal clients to maintain strong relationships and resolve project issues.
  • Review project plans, schedules, and financial reports to track progress and performance.
  • Visit active project sites regularly (approximately 1–2 days per week) to monitor work and support field leadership.
  • Work closely with estimating, purchasing, and accounting teams to ensure accurate cost control and forecasting.
  • Leverage construction management software such as HCSS (Heavy Job) or Spectrum for financial tracking and reporting.
  • Support company-wide safety, quality, and performance initiatives as a senior leader within the division.
