Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior Project Manager - Municipal/Civil Projects to join our Transportation team in Plano or Dallas, TX. In this client-facing role, you'll manage municipal roadway, drainage, water, and sanitary sewer improvement projects while helping us strengthen our presence with city and county clients across North Texas. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience delivering municipal infrastructure projects.
  • Strong network and established relationships with city and county municipalities in North Texas.
  • Proven success managing roadway, drainage, water, and sanitary sewer projects.
  • Skilled communicator with experience leading client presentations and public meetings.
  • Ability to mentor and lead multidisciplinary teams while balancing technical oversight and client engagement.

Nice To Haves

  • TXDOT PS&E experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage municipal civil infrastructure projects, including roadway improvements, bicycle/pedestrian facilities, drainage upgrades, and water/sanitary sewer improvements.
  • Serve as the primary client point of contact for city and county municipalities, ensuring strong partnerships and client satisfaction.
  • Partner with municipalities to scope projects, negotiate contracts, and deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
  • Provide oversight and QA/QC on project deliverables, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Mentor project engineers and junior staff to strengthen technical capabilities and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve engineering challenges and deliver innovative municipal infrastructure solutions.
  • Track project performance, budgets, and schedules to meet financial and utilization targets.
  • Represent Tetra Tech at business development meetings, industry events, and conferences to expand visibility and client relationships.
