About The Position

M. A. Mortenson Company seeks a full-time Senior Project Manager based in Minneapolis, MN. The Senior Project Manager provides overall leadership direction to renewable energy construction projects, including the management of project quality, timeliness, and mentoring the project team. This position requires a Master’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field plus four (4) years of related experience reviewing civil, mechanical, structural, electrical, and SCADA drawings for renewable energy construction projects. Alternatively, this position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field plus six (6) years progressive, post-baccalaureate experience reviewing civil, mechanical, structural, electrical, and SCADA drawings for renewable energy construction projects. Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: (1) developing and maintaining project financial projections and equipment projections; (2) maintaining schedule and budget until project completion; (3) managing renewable energy projects from inception of client engagement through successful energization, full commissioning, and closeout, including understanding the terms and processions of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Agreement; and (4) managing project and program issues and risks to mitigate impacts, including reviewing electrical and environmental studies and geotechnical reports to identify potential risks to renewable energy projects. All experience may have been gained concurrently. Will accept experience gained before, during, or after Master’s program. This position supervises subordinates, which vary from 5 to 25 depending on the project. Position requires domestic travel up to 10% of the time. Requirements
