What this job involves: As a Senior Project Manager serving as the dedicated PMO Lead for a key client site. You will act as the central coordination hub between executive leadership, site management, and internal workstream leaders to ensure seamless project delivery and operational excellence. This unique and evolving role requires you to serve as the conduit between the executive director and the onsite leadership team, acting as the eyes and ears of the executive director who is not on site all the time. You'll coordinate with internal client workstream leaders to ensure alignment across all project initiatives and business functions while developing and maintaining project governance frameworks, standards, and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • 8+ years of project management experience with demonstrated PMO leadership
  • Strong experience in stakeholder management and executive-level communication
  • Proven track record of managing complex, multi-workstream projects
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Strong leadership presence with ability to influence without direct authority

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the automotive industry strongly recommended
  • Experience in industrial and/or manufacturing environments
  • Experience with change management methodologies
  • Previous client-facing or embedded consulting experience
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining team collaboration
  • Adaptability and flexibility in dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Act as the PMO for the site while serving as the conduit between executive director and onsite leadership team
  • Coordinate with internal client workstream leaders to ensure alignment across all project initiatives and business functions
  • Develop and maintain project governance frameworks, standards, and methodologies
  • Aid workstream leaders in updates and identify activities across all business functions with dependencies while driving cohesive execution
  • Monitor project portfolios and provide regular status reporting to stakeholders
  • Serve as primary liaison between Executive Director and Site Manager while facilitating communication and decision-making across organizational levels
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects from initiation through completion ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site
