About The Position

The Senior Project Manager (SPM), Construction Services, is responsible for full lifecycle project leadership, from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, scheduling expertise, and the ability to manage large, cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management or related field or equivalent experience
  • 815+ years of construction experience with a general contractor
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering multiple large-scale projects simultaneously
  • Strong financial and cost management expertise
  • Experience leading large, cross-functional project teams
  • Background in residential and/or government construction projects
  • Estimating experience strongly preferred
  • Advanced scheduling experience (Primavera, MS Project)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to operate with flexibility and urgency
  • OSHA 30, or ability to acquire, is required

Nice To Haves

  • State/local General Contractors license is preferred.
  • PMP and CQMC preferred.
  • LEED Accreditation or experience with sustainable building practices is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Project & Team Leadership Lead multiple large-scale residential and government construction projects concurrently
  • Manage and mentor teams including PMs, Project Engineers, and Superintendents
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance team environment
  • Preconstruction & Estimating Lead preconstruction efforts including estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and risk analysis
  • Drive value engineering and constructability reviews
  • Support procurement strategies and subcontractor selection
  • Financial Management Own project financials including budgets, forecasting, cost control, and cash flow
  • Monitor profitability and ensure projects meet or exceed margin targets
  • Review and approve change orders, pay applications, and financial reporting
  • Scheduling & Execution Develop and manage detailed project schedules (Primavera, MS Project)
  • Oversee critical path activities and proactively mitigate risks
  • Ensure successful delivery across multiple active projects
  • Contracts & Operations Manage owner and subcontractor agreements
  • Ensure compliance with scope, schedule, safety, and quality standards
  • Resolve issues and maintain strong subcontractor relationships
  • Safety & Quality Enforce OSHA and company safety standards (OSHA 30 preferred)
  • Oversee QA/QC processes and site performance
  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement
  • Client Management Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Provide clear, consistent communication and executive-level reporting
  • Lead project closeouts, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction
