Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/. We are seeking motivated professionals to take responsibility for managing complex Acquisition and Divestiture projects from transition planning to conclusion. The successful candidate will engage with Team Leaders to accomplish project objectives through detailed planning, deploying standard methodologies and subject matter expertise, risk identification and mitigation, resource alignment, evaluation of priorities and establishment of robust governance and critical issues reporting protocols. Additionally, the ability to interact effectively and deploy global methodology to support and monitor regional project teams and successfully integrate diverse teams is key. The role will report to the Senior Director, A&D Operations.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree required
  • A minimum of 7 years of business experience in Project Management within complex or large-scale projects is required
  • Experience running diverse teams (ex, 10-15 people) required
  • Strategic thinker with an ability to dive into details is required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including solid presentation abilities, are required.
  • Ability to support development of business cases within a project in consultation with business partners is required.
  • Ability to lead, collaborate, challenge and influence peers, subordinates and senior management is required.
  • Ability to facilitate discussion, progress effectively and lead team as needed, required.
  • Ability to supervise and lead day-to-day activities of project teams, third party partners and contact resources is required.
  • Demonstrate accountability for flawless project execution is required.
  • Demonstrate clear bias for action and a sense of urgency is required.
  • Superior teamwork abilities as well as demonstrated experience building collaboration are required.
  • Agility to work with varying levels of complexity or ambiguity is required.
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) or Prince2 certification is highly desirable.
  • Position is located in New Brunswick, NJ with approximately 10-20% travel required (domestic and global) depending on deal characteristics.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in global acquisitions & divestitures (strongly preferred)
  • Previous experiences within supply chain, HR, IT and Finance preferred
  • Experience planning and implementing change management for projects with global, multi-regional, cross company impact, or large-scale user impact is preferred.
  • Financial Management for project budget > $10MM (preferred).
  • Understanding of large IT systems and programs (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Business leaders, business functions, and functional project managers to deliver program goals and value creation through effective project execution
  • Collaborate, challenge and influence peers, subordinates and senior management.
  • Utilize project management skills to establish clarity in project roles, identify and balance resource requirements, define project deliverables, minimize risks and measure outcomes
  • Have accountability for a project team and may have direct accountability for contract resources.
  • Consult and provide advice, facilitate discussion and resolves conflict; establish trust; build and use cross-functional relationships to accomplish work objectives.
  • Drive key project delivery activities to ensure a timely and successful attainment of project objectives
  • Understand and communicate within a project to facilitate effective execution.
  • Manage project governance processes supporting the Project Leadership. Understand how and when to make a choice; how and when to raise issues to higher levels.
  • Analyze risks and future impact of decisions. Enable effective and timely decisions and takes independent action in pursuit of priorities.
  • Facilitate and troubleshoots problems associated with developing complex functional integration or separation plans; or fully integrated project plans.
  • Provide highly skilled technical and management advice and assistance to functional management and personnel.
  • Support various project status review and planning meetings.
  • Establishes and maintains liaison as required with Stakeholders, Business Partners, Steering Committees, Integration Teams, PMO and Functional COP’s.
  • Assist in developing functional plans, goals and objectives.
  • Implement lessons learned for each project and incorporate into enterprise processes for future improvements.
  • Forge and maintain external networks to learn and inform improved practices.
