About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a highly motivated and energetic professional Senior Project Management Specialist - P-8A Integration for the Navy P-8 Product Support Program with locations in Tukwila WA, Hazelwood, MO, and Jacksonville FL. Reporting to the P-8A Sustainment Program Manager, the successful candidate will lead the integration of BGS P-8A platform activities, spanning Sustainment, Training Systems and Modifications, with the Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) Product Support Program to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) P-8A fleet. This position is the primary conduit for US domestic support for the BDA P-8A program and is part of the BDA P-8A Program Leadership Team, with execution responsibilities directly to the BDA P-8A Program Manager. In this role, the successful candidate will lead integration for program inter-company support arrangements (prime or subcontract arrangements), perform Control Account Manager (CAM) responsibilities, identify metrics and report performance, facilitate data sharing and export controls, and develop strategic plans. This position places a heavy emphasis on creative problem-solving, strong project management, and frequent interactions with internal stakeholders and technical subject matter experts to create and support inter-company agreements and execution. The cross-functional and cross-divisional nature of this position requires strong written and oral communication, a strong collaborative drive, working knowledge of program management principles and independent decision-making skills. The P-8 is a 737-derivative platform. Prior experience with P-8 or other commercial derivative aircraft is preferred. The ideal candidate will be well postured to work across the Product Support portfolio, manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, and have the ability to team and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and other business partners as part of a geographically dispersed team.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in a role requiring project / program management skills
  • 3+ years’ experience managing and prioritizing projects in a fast-paced environment
  • 3+ years’ experience leading cross-functional and interdivisional teams
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with stakeholders (i.e. customers, suppliers, peers and/or partners)
  • Able and willing to travel up to 20% of the time, including international travel
  • Able and willing to work non-standard hours 10% of the time
  • This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
  • This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Leads, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for complex projects, programs and change driven activities in accordance with project management industry
  • Leads studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), reports, risk assessments and planning efforts to determine impacts, constraints involving interdivisional support, process improvement, program initiatives, export restrictions
  • Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case
  • Facilitates and ensures integration of project/program plan, schedules, change and baseline management, processes, techniques considered to be best practice across the industry
  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives
  • Directs all phases of projects from inception through completion
  • Coordinates commitments with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategies
  • Consults with senior management to integrate organizational strategy and company initiatives to develop project deliverables
  • Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned
  • Engages with external customers, internal cross-functional stakeholders, cross-organizational leadership, and peers to provide program-level problem solving and support
  • Provide cross-functional integration across all teams (internal and external) to ensure high quality, on-time, on-schedule, program execution
