About The Position

As a Sr. Project Management Resource Manager at IMI Industrial, you will lead a team of Project Managers to ensure a client’s vision is brought to life and IMI processes are followed. You will provide ongoing support to the team, strategically assigning team members to projects and supporting your team’s workload balance. All in all, you will be a valuable member of our Project Management team, supporting our efforts to build lasting relationships and deliver on our promises. Requirements

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field – a PMP is a plus!
  • You have 4-7 years of Project Management experience in a related field.
  • You possess excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, to provide direction and feedback to your team.
  • You efficiently manage your time, maintaining an elevated level of organization across your work.
  • You are proficient in MS Office environment, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, and Calendar.
  • You can effectively navigate Project Management software.
  • You are adept at planning and managing a budget, utilizing your strategic insight to solve problems as they arise.
  • You have the ability to adapt to work changes/work environment and adjust effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures.
  • You are focused on accomplishing work objectives for yourself and your team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing training, guidance, and mentorship to Project Managers in their day-to-day operations.
  • Strategically plan and document processes and ensure that teams adhere to them.
  • Assist Project Managers in preparing for monthly financial reviews.
  • Collaborate with other leaders to allocate Project Managers to projects while also understanding resource constraints
  • Assist with HR hiring processes including interviewing and onboarding.
  • Monitor employee utilization, workload, and overtime hours.
  • Conduct annual and mid-year performance reviews of your Project Management team.
  • Establish growth and/or performance improvement plans with your Project Management team.
  • Review and approve administrative tasks of the Project Managers (timesheets, PTO, expenses, etc.)
  • Participate in setting and executing the vision, mission, and goals for the department.
  • Provide and analyze project survey feedback and use results to lead the team to make improvements.
  • Encourage the growth and development of your Project Manager team
