About The Position

The Senior Project Management Analyst will provide senior-level analytical and program execution support to PMS 339 in managing DDG 1000 (Zumwalt Class) Surface Training Systems across the planning, acquisition, modernization, and sustainment lifecycle. Ensure leadership has accurate, decision-ready information to support cost, schedule, technical performance, and Fleet training readiness. You translate complex program data into actionable insight. ROLE IN THE ORGANIZATION This is a senior analytical execution role Reports to Program / Project Manager Leads analytical efforts supporting DDG 1000 training initiatives Serves as senior coordination point for data, reporting, and program tracking Interfaces directly with PMS 339 staff, technical leads, and training stakeholders WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS The DDG 1000 platform requires synchronized modernization and training delivery. Effective program analysis ensures: Trainers and devices align with ship configuration changes Budget execution supports approved priorities Risk areas are identified early Lifecycle sustainment planning remains accurate Leadership receives timely and professional reporting Analytical rigor supports warfighting capability. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: PROGRAM PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS Lead tracking of DDG 1000 training program cost, schedule, and performance Develop and maintain program dashboards and executive status reports Analyze risk areas and recommend mitigation strategies Support milestone decision reviews and documentation preparation Validate program data integrity prior to leadership briefs ACQUISITION & LIFECYCLE SUPPORT Support planning and execution of training system modernization efforts Assist in requirements traceability and documentation alignment Track acquisition documentation and contract deliverables Support lifecycle sustainment planning for trainers and simulation systems Align analysis with Ready Relevant Learning (RRL) initiatives EXECUTIVE REPORTING & BRIEF DEVELOPMENT Prepare senior-level presentations and decision materials Draft point papers, recommendations, and executive summaries Support IPTs, working groups, and review boards Ensure compatibility with NAVSEA-approved web-based platforms STAKEHOLDER COORDINATION Coordinate with: PMS 339 program staff; Shipbuilders; Training Centers; Fleet representatives Track action items and ensure closure Support cross-functional synchronization between technical and training stakeholders DATA & DOCUMENT CONTROL Maintain organized electronic program repositories Ensure documentation accuracy and version control Support CDRL documentation (as applicable) Maintain audit-ready records supporting program execution WHO SHOULD APPLY This role is ideal for experienced Navy professionals who have led division-level planning, modernization tracking, or staff program analysis efforts. If you have led technical programs, supported ship modernization, or provided senior analytical support within Navy program offices — you are strongly aligned with this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree OR 10+ years relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • 7+ years professional experience in program analysis, acquisition, or Navy systems support
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Navy Training Systems or Surface Combatant program experience
  • Must be a US citizen
