The School of Medicine’s Department of Emergency Medicine has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Research Services Senior Clinical Science Professional (Senior Project Coordinator). This Senior Clinical Science Professional will support both the EMBHR Lab (which conducts research that focuses on the advancement of methods for engaging patients, practices, and other health system representatives in co-design, testing, implementation, and dissemination of evidence-based approaches to improving mental and behavioral health) and the Colorado Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CCTSI) Dissemination and Implementation Research Core (which provides supports innovation, education, and application of D&I science and evidence for the CCTSI research community). In the EMBHR lab, this position will support D&I aims for multiple research projects, including application of D&I theories, models, and frameworks; development and execution of both dissemination and implementation strategies; creation of recruitment and intervention materials; measurement of D&I outcomes; and coordination of research engagement activities both in-person and virtually. More generally, the role will also include supporting preparatory activities such as IRB and protocol preparation and submission; development of operating procedures and data collection tools; and contributing to reporting and dissemination activities. The position will also involve overall project management (including managing large multidisciplinary teams) and assisting with general project needs as identified by the PI and program manager. In the CCTSI D&I research core, this position will serve as a program coordinator supporting both the D&I core’s Design & Dissemination Service (which offers both free consults and paid services to researchers within and beyond the CCTSI community) and other core initiatives. The work includes coordinating all workflows for consults and service contracts (including scheduling, taking notes, tracking key metrics including satisfaction surveys, and serving as the primary contact for service contracts including SOW creation, time tracking and billing). Additionally, this role will support projects emerging from the CCTSI D&I Community of Practice, maintain the D&I core website and its Dissemination Inspiration Library, and take on additional projects to support the core’s objectives. This role will also provide services as appropriate under Design & Dissemination Service contracts, leveraging D&I theories, models and frameworks, with oversight from core faculty. The position may also involve contributing to dissemination of D&I core research and tools through poster presentations, manuscript support, and non-academic dissemination. The ideal candidate will have experience in coordinating multiple projects related to D&I science and working in multidisciplinary/team science settings; experience managing service contracts and workflows with internal customers; a strong orientation towards customer service and excellent communication skills; productivity in working remotely; familiarity with D&I science; and experience creating recruitment/intervention materials for community-engaged research.
