About The Position

AECOM is seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Project Architect to lead transformative architecture projects and build client partnerships. This position is based in their growing Cleveland and Columbus, OH offices. The role requires a leader in design and technical excellence, driven by a passion for delivering quality work, mentoring staff, and leading multi-disciplinary teams. As a Senior Project Architect with recognized technical expertise and experience in demanding, design-driven projects, you will lead interdisciplinary teams, leveraging industry experience and technical acumen to drive a wide range of project types and sizes through all phases of design, documentation, and construction. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Architecture plus 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Licensed as a registered architect

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a wide variety of production and visualization software including but not limited to: AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures
  • Certification as a LEED Accredited Professional by the USGBC
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, open office work environment
  • Diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team, or multiple teams, in the design and technical documentation and delivery of a wide range of projects in partnership with the Project Director and/or Project Manager
  • Support the pursuit of exciting new projects
  • Prepare design and contract drawings using advanced design software tools
  • Develop solutions to a wide range of difficult technical problems
  • Oversee the work of more junior designers and architects
  • Manage client, team, and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, and civil consultant
  • Support communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials
  • Provide quality control reviews of projects in the studio
