We are seeking a Senior Program Quality Lead to join the Medium Range Air Defense (MRAD) team primarily supporting Foreign Military Sale (FMS) National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASAMS) programs with end-users in Europe and the Middle East. As the primary quality interface for customers, you will ensure the program meets all Quality & Mission Assurance requirements. This includes coordinating with Program Managers, functional partners and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to support contracts through all phases of program lifecycle including bid & proposal, design & development, manufacturing & test, as well as sell-off & sustainment. You will develop and monitor quality metrics to drive proactive continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with IPTs. The ideal candidate is an experienced quality professional who can join a high performing team to support a portfolio of currently awarded and soon-to-be awarded contracts. This is an on-site position in Andover, MA.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Working experience leading teams in failure analysis, root cause analysis, corrective and preventative action.
  • Working experience in providing technical program support for manufacturing and/or design processes.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Experience exercising judgement and applying resolution-making skills with appropriate supervisory intervention.
  • Experience in risk mitigation and opportunity management.
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certification.
  • Experience comprehending and translating system requirements and contractual requirements to ensure full compliance is flowed down through product, assembly, and test documentation.
  • Experience applying interpersonal skills and working with customers, suppliers, and in a team environment.
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional teams in system improvement activities (e.g. 6-sigma, lean manufacturing)
  • Experienced user of Process Re-invention Integrating Systems for Manufacturing (PRISM) and/or SAP.
  • Experience in First Article Inspections per AS9102.

Responsibilities

  • Engage on both strategic and tactical levels, focusing on quality, cost and schedule performance.
  • Develop partnerships with senior leaders, IPTs, quality support functions and customers to define the necessary steps to implement proactive quality strategies.
  • Generate Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and support the Estimate at Complete (EAC) as the Quality Lead.
  • Lead Customer Oriented Result and Excellence (CORE) and Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) projects to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
  • Monitor / Lead root cause investigation and FRACAS activities for systemic issues to ensure robust corrective action is taken.
  • Drive issue resolution to ensure the program delivers the right product at the right time.
  • This position requires some domestic and international travel.
