About The Position

Be a leader in Multi-domain Assured Navigation & Timing Applications (MANTA) Operations. This role will serve as a manufacturing and operations lead for a critical program transitioning to production, (REGI), as well as for other programs related to the REGI franchise. This role is responsible for driving Manufacturing Strategy, Planning and Execution for the sub-portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Manufacturing Operations in the defense industry and must have experience leading New Product Introduction and Transition to Production of complex programs. The candidate must have strong working knowledge of proposal development systems and will be responsible for presenting comprehensive strategies on Manufacturing Plans and how the efforts are proposed to customers. The Candidate will support classified & unclassified programs within a technically diverse portfolio of complex products. Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
  • Experience program production schedules & identifying manufacturing risk & opportunities
  • Working knowledge of SAP / PRISM or equivalent Material Requirement Planning (MRP) systems
  • Domestic travel up to 25%

  • Wide-ranging management experience in matrixed program management, including Manufacturing Operations and/or Engineering
  • Experience leading Manufacturing Readiness Assessments and Production Readiness Reviews

  • Experience with RTX’s Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) operating system

  • Experience supporting fact-finding and negotiations with DCMA and Government customers
  • Experience and mastery of Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRA), Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
  • Proven Experience developing proposals and Basis of Estimates
  • Proven Experience in Earned Value Management & Certification
  • Experience in lean manufacturing and Six sigma
  • Expert knowledge of Excel

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Operations focal for a portfolio of production and new‑development programs, ensuring alignment between Program Office, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain throughout the product lifecycle
  • Lead operational strategy, execution, and performance to meet cost, schedule, quality, and delivery targets for both full‑rate production and development hardware
  • Partner with Engineering and Supply Chain to ensure effective requirements flow-down and strong producibility, testability, and manufacturability through Design for Excellence (DfX) principles
  • Drive the execution of New Product Introduction (NPI) and Transition-to-Production activities, including manufacturing readiness reviews, production planning, and test readiness
  • Influence product designs to achieve cost, yield, and schedule objectives, including optimization of electronics producibility, test automation, and manufacturing yield
  • Oversee the development and application of PFMEAs, PPAP, APQP (AS9145), and other operational risk‑reduction tools across multiple programs
  • Identify and resolve material availability issues in partnership with Supply Chain to ensure smooth factory operations and on-time deliveries
  • Direct and coordinate sequencing of builds, deliveries, and factory support activities in collaboration with Manufacturing to optimize resource utilization
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve operational efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance process capability across programs
  • Monitor and manage program operations cost and schedule performance, applying corrective actions and improvement strategies where needed
  • Serve as a trusted partner to internal customers, ensuring operational needs and customer expectations are met
  • Support development and growth of cross-functional teams by fostering collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence
