About The Position

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Program Manager supporting a high-priority acquisition mission within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (AFLCMC/HNC). This division provides life cycle management for information assurance and other critical systems, with a mission focused on cyberspace support. Located at Lackland AFB, AFLCMC/HNC supports technology development, acquisition, sustainment, and demilitarization of cybersecurity systems that ensure warfighter access to critical systems while denying access to adversaries. This is a full time on-site position located at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX. In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of experience, five (5) of which must be in the DoD

  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition policies (DoDI 5000.02, AFI 63-101/20-101)
  • Experience with acquisition documentation (DAES, MAR, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Possess and apply comprehensive knowledge of systems acquisition and program management per DoDI 5000.02 and AFI 63-101/20-101.
  • Utilize qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze acquisition program effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Support activities that assist program managers in assessing programs against cost and schedule baselines.
  • Recommend viable solutions and alternative courses of action for acquisition challenges.
  • Communicate effectively through written and oral presentations, including briefings, documents, and plans.
  • Plan, research, analyze, and assess system acquisition in development, production, and deployment phases.
  • Formulate plans and recommend strategies to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
  • Support and develop acquisition reports such as DAES and MAR.
  • Participate in program management reviews, senior-level meetings, and IMP/IMS reviews.
  • Prepare and deliver program status briefings and acquisition task schedules to senior management.
