About The Position

Are you passionate about supporting people with intellectual, developmental, and other disabilities? AUCD, a national nonprofit organization supporting the disability community, is seeking a highly motivated, accomplished, organized, and goal-oriented Senior Program Manager to support the UCEDD Resource Center. The Senior Program Manager Serves as a senior staff member with the primary responsibilities of directing AUCD's program portfolio of UCEDD-related programs and activities. This includes: (1) overseeing the UCEDD Resource Center (URC) supporting the national network of UCEDDs, (2) overseeing program activities that elevate UCEDD network impact on emerging needs in the disability community, (3) supporting UCEDDs as members of AUCD; and (4) leveraging existing projects to identify and secure additional funding streams aligned with AUCD's mission. In partnership with the Associate Director and the Executive Council, establishes strategy for supporting and increasing impact of UCEDDs.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a social science, education, administration, public health, policy, or other relevant field (or equivalent experience)
  • Eight (8) years of professional experience providing technical assistance and consultation in topics related to disability, advocacy, capacity-building, systems change, and/or program leadership and management in higher education settings.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of managing direct reports and/or project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, guidance and creativity in the UCEDD Resource Center (URC) and related efforts that engage and build capacity of network members.
  • Report to Administration for Community Living (ACL) as outlined by contracts/agreements.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the URC, ensuring activities align with the annual workplan and federal requirements.
  • Plan and direct all aspects of URC events including UCEDD Directors meetings, outreach, and technical assistance forums; support planning, coordination, and execution of all other AUCD events, including the AUCD conference.
  • Track progress on deliverables and timelines, maintain internal project management systems, and ensure timely completion of activities.
  • Identify and respond to technical assistance requests from UCEDD grantees, including consultation on TA site visits to UCEDD programs.
  • Oversee program management-related activities for UCEDD-related contracts, grants and other agreements; Lead collaboration with related partners.
  • Support evaluation activities, including surveys, feedback forms, summaries, and improvements to the URC's continuous quality improvement processes.
  • Complete continuation and supplemental applications, as well as competitive renewal applications to funder.
  • Develop federal reports, quarterly updates, and annual performance submissions.
  • In collaboration with and reporting to the Executive Council, develop and monitor annual project budgets.
  • In collaboration with and reporting to the Executive Council, develop, review and approval of sub-awardee agreements, invoices for payment, project staff expense reports & timesheets, and grant invoices & expenditures.
  • Identify potential new funding opportunities.
  • Research and prepare applications for new funding, including leading grant writing, program development and budget development processes.
  • Serve as primary source of communication with and between ACL, OIDD, UCEDDs, and other partners regarding technical assistance and program development.
  • Assist with the PAC (Project Advisory Committee) recruitment, communication, and meeting-related tasks.
  • Represent AUCD on advisory groups, and at meetings and conferences locally and nationally.
  • Provide updates to the Board of Directors on project activities as requested.
  • Represent the interests of grantees in the context of broader AUCD initiatives (e.g. strategic planning, communications, leadership development).
  • Directly supervises a team of full-time program staff.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with LEND TA team to co-supervise additional program staff supporting both teams.
  • Ability to travel, typically 3-4 days at a time, 6 times annually.
