This job description is not a “contract” between the employee and the Authority. The job duties and essential functions may be changed at the discretion of the General Manager. The Senior Program Manager, Potomac Interceptor assists in managing the planning, design and construction of the rehabilitation and improvement of the Potomac Interceptor (PI). The PI is a critical interceptor, approximately fifty-four miles long ranging from thirty-six to ninety-six diameter. It conveys flow from Loudoun and Fairfax Counties in Virginia and Montgomery County in Maryland to the District of Columbia’s ’s sewer system for treatment at the Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment Pant. The incumbent is expected to carry out assignments independently, to include interpreting policies and regulations and coordinating work with others. Methodology and approaches to solving problems are regularly determined by the incumbent.
