About The Position

The Department of Access Services (DAS) at RIT/NTID seeks a candidate to join the largest staff of interpreters working in postsecondary education. RIT/NTID is a dynamic, language-rich environment of 1,300 deaf students, staff and faculty on a campus of 18,000 students. The Sr. Program Manager is responsible for overseeing two, school-to-work interpreter development programs: the DAS Apprenticeship Program, and the Randleman Program, including oversight of a summer training component with national outreach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Certified Interpreter (National RID Certification) and DAS Interpreter Level 3 OR Certified Deaf Interpreter (National RID/NAD Certification)
  • A minimum of five (5) years of full-time professional experience in fostering the educational and professional development of interpreters, specifically in the provision of access service delivery.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.

  • Grant writing experience desired
