About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Senior Program Manager (Level L) to join our F/A-18 Integrated Readiness Team (IRT) in Hazelwood, MO. In this role, the focus will be on managing the Integrated Product Support and Support Equipment Programs. This position reports directly to the F/A-18 IRT Senior Director. The selected candidate will be managing a team with employees located in St. Louis, MO area and will interface directly with the U.S. Navy PMA-265 team, NAVSUP, Lakehurst Support Equipment Program Office, and the active Navy. You will be leading a Profit / Loss overseeing fleet engineering and logistics support, F/A-18 Automated Maintenance Environment product deliveries, Class 1 ECP execution, and Support Equipment ECPs, spares, and repairs. This position will require up to 20% travel to suppliers and customers. A successful candidate will be highly experienced in managing programs, supporting a DoD customer, executing the Boeing Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) and have a high level of discipline and follow through. Resilience and aptitude for problem solving and fostering a creative/collaborative environment is a must, with the selected candidate being biased toward action, finding solutions, and enabling the rest of the team to execute efficiently and effectively. Experience in balancing priorities while working with customers and challenging suppliers while executing multiple contracting types will be key for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the IPS and Support Equipment programs, strengthening program management best practices (PMBP) to include: Metrics – proactive vs. reactive Risk management using BORIS Alignment of priorities & integration across functional partners
  • Responsible for maintaining working relationships with external stakeholders such as U.S. Navy Program Office, DCMA, Major Suppliers, and internal / external suppliers to meet customer deliverables
  • Play an integration role across Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Quality, Integrated Scheduling, Contracts and Finance
  • Responsible for partnering with suppliers both internal and external to ensure on time deliveries
  • Knowledge of FAR contracting, estimating, and negotiations both with suppliers and prime customers to help keep program and customer schedules
