Overview: Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Program Management and Product Operations, you will lead software and cloud service development programs for our Enterprise product portfolio, including Gateways, Wireless Access Points, Switches, and Surveillance systems. In this role, you will drive complex, multi-disciplinary programs from concept through launch and sustaining phases. You will coordinate firmware, system application software, mobile applications, and cloud services development across cross-functional teams in the US and China, managing critical dependencies between hardware and software development cycles. Your primary objective is to enable successful launches of Enterprise-grade networking products while maintaining exceptional quality standards and meeting aggressive time-to-market goals. Success requires technical credibility, efficiency, strong leadership without direct authority, and ability to navigate ambiguity amongst cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, computer engineering, networking, or relevant field.
  • 10+ years of experience in managing enterprise networking or embedded systems product development programs.
  • Demonstrated technical capability in delivering software projects from start-to-finish including software quality and release management.
  • Experience working with local and remote engineering teams to align SW releases with hardware product development activities.
  • Proficiency in Agile development process and familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, and MS Project.
  • Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines for firmware development and deployment.
  • Demonstrated success navigating ambiguity and competing priorities, providing guidance and direction to cross-functional teams.
  • Bilingual English / Mandarin verbal and written skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
  • Experience managing projects with networking and communication devices integrating hardware functionality and cloud services.

Responsibilities

  • Champion adherence to business unit’s Product Development Lifecycle and be the point of contact for it.
  • Manage software development programs for Enterprise Networking products such as gateways, switches, wireless systems, and surveillance platforms.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across hardware engineering, firmware, software, QA, product management, and product operations teams.
  • Develop comprehensive program plans with clear milestones, dependencies, resource requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Manage cross-functional collaboration between US and China-based R&D teams.
  • Strategic communication skills to distill and report on project status and provide executive dashboards.
