About The Position

The Senior Program Finance Analyst role is a key partner to Program Management, Engineering and Business Development, and is responsible for ensuring strong financial planning. To include, but not limited to, disciplined execution and accurate forecasting across complex government and commercial programs. This role supports the full program lifecycle from proposal pricing and contract award, through execution and closeout, with a focus on cost control, profitability, compliance and data driven decision making. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced Aerospace and Defense environment while balancing program execution needs with audit readiness and long-term financial integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field ; may substitute equivalent hands-on experience in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum 4 years of program & financial analysis experience in the Aerospace & Defense sector
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to ITAR regulations & the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance
  • Familiarity with DoD contract types (CPFF, FFP, T&M) and government regulations (FAR, DFARS)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., Costpoint, SAP, Unanet)

Nice To Haves

  • 6+ years of experience in program finance in the Aerospace & Defense sector
  • Knowledge of GAAP and government audit processes (DCAA/DCMA)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, macros)
  • Prior experience supporting major aerospace or defense programs

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze program budgets, forecasts, and Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Estimate to Complete (ETC) submissions
  • Assist in preparing financial models to evaluate program profitability, risk, and variance impacts
  • Support pricing and cost proposals for new business, contract modifications, and engineering change orders
  • Track actual costs, obligations, and commitments, ensuring alignment with contract baselines
  • Monitor and analyze variances between planned, actual, and forecasted costs and recommend corrective actions
  • Support Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and compliance requirements
  • Assist with build cost models for proposals, ROMs, engineering change orders, and contract modifications
  • Partner with Business Development and Capture teams to support price to win alignment and competitive positioning
  • Perform bottoms up pricing that includes labor, material, subcontract, travel, ODC, and indirect rates
  • Evaluate quantity price breaks and production scaling impacts with Supply Chain
  • Support development of multi scenario pricing models for various contract structures (CPFF, FFP, T&M)
  • Assist with preparation of cost volumes, pricing justification, and audit ready backup for submission to government customers
  • Prepare and present monthly program financial performance reports to internal leadership and customer stakeholders
  • Support DCAA/DCMA audits, financial reviews, and internal compliance checks
  • Assist with annual financial and program audits, including revenue tie-outs, margin analysis, Estimate to Complete (ETC) and Estimate at Completion (EAC) reconciliations, and preparation of supporting schedules for detailed financial workbook audits
  • Partner with Program Managers to ensure financial alignment with schedule, technical performance, and contract requirements
  • Coordinate with Contracts, Procurement, and Operations on funding, subcontract management, and cash flow planning
  • Assist in the preparation of Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Estimate to Complete (ETC) submissions
  • Support annual budgeting, indirect rate analysis, and strategic planning initiatives
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of program finance processes, tools, and reporting
