Job Summary You lead related programs that meet the needs of your customer set by developing solutions to customer problems, driving capture efforts to bring in business, and executing the resulting programs while managing employees and other leaders who perform Program Management activities. Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives. Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops, and motivates teammates and mid-level managers. You lead and mentor program managers, mission engineers, and chief engineers, develop and execute integrated organizational plans. You develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners, establish Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) goals and improvement plans, make the most of available resources to meet customers’ needs, and collaborate with Millennium’s other portfolio managers to lead Millennium into the future.

Requirements

  • This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
  • 10+ years of working experience in aerospace industry programs (space experience highly preferred)
  • 10+ years' experience as a project leader delivering space flight hardware systems
  • 5+ years’ related experience as a program or business manager with interface responsibilities to United States Government customers

  • Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in engineering or other related technical field

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders to support program execution and achieve business objectives. Foster trust and alignment around shared goals while effectively navigating organizational dynamics
  • Apply strong business acumen to support decision-making by understanding company operations, policies, market conditions, and competitive dynamics. Leverage both formal processes and internal networks to advance organizational priorities and strategic goals
  • Drive digital and process improvements by identifying opportunities where technology can enhance efficiency, scalability, and program performance. Partner with cross-functional teams to implement technology-enabled solutions and optimize workflows
  • Incorporate market and customer insights into program planning and execution by monitoring customer needs, competitor activity, and emerging technology trends that influence organizational strategy
  • Lead end-to-end project and program management activities, including defining scope, developing project plans, managing resources, tracking performance, and delivering results on schedule and within budget
  • Support organizational effectiveness and change initiatives by applying organizational development principles to improve processes, manage change, and enhance team and program performance
  • Manage program risks, issues, and opportunities by identifying potential impacts across technical, cost, and schedule dimensions; developing mitigation or resolution strategies; and tracking progress through established program management tools and metrics
  • Develop and maintain integrated program schedules, ensuring alignment across teams, milestones, and deliverables while proactively identifying schedule risks and implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Apply systems thinking to understand the interdependencies across program elements, anticipate downstream impacts of decisions, and drive coordinated solutions that optimize overall system and program performance
  • Own profit and loss (P&L) performance for assigned programs, including budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition, cost management, and financial reporting. Monitor program financial health through variance analysis and implement corrective actions to protect revenue, margins, and cash flow
