About The Position

The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Program Coordinator to join our IAM Boeing Joint Programs team in Seattle, WA. This role involves providing support to all Puget Sound sites. Established in 1989, IAM/Boeing Joint Programs is a labor/management partnership that reflects a balanced collaboration between the International Association of Machinists (IAM) Union and the Boeing Company. Together, we are dedicated to improving the health, safety, and educational opportunities for IAM-represented employees in the Puget Sound and Portland. This individual will be a proactive, engaged self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively and independently. This Program Coordinator position requires someone who can work closely with their union partner to perform their statement of work, effectively collaborate across teams, levels, functions, and organizations to drive improvements, consistency, and a strong culture of respect. The candidate will report to a Management pair comprised of One company and One Union Admins and will partner with the IAM union to lead a curriculum development team, serving as a liaison between the group that defines curriculum requirements and the team that delivers training. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills are essential; this role will drive continuous improvement and the implementation of new training initiatives. The candidate should have a proven program-management background and deep knowledge of curriculum design and build processes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience using curriculum management and/or Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodologies, systems and tools
  • 3+ years of experience designing and development of training content, to include courseware and curricula
  • 3+ years of experience managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Experience working with collective bargaining agreements and/or a union-represented workforce
  • Experience coaching and developing others

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Advanced degrees or certifications in Curriculum Development, Instructional Systems Design, Training, Training Technology, or other relevant fields
  • 3+ years of experience supporting cross-functional teams
  • 1+ years of experience creating and developing strategy plans
  • Experience the ADDIE process
  • Experience with Articulate Storyline
  • Experience consulting with and building collaborative relationships with stakeholders to develop relevant requirements and effective content
  • Experience driving and leading training and development projects through implementation
  • Experience interpreting and explaining complex information to a range of audiences
  • Experience independently managing tasks to meet deadlines
  • Excellent grammar/writing skills, attention to detail, and accuracy while efficiently completing content deliverables

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with their IAM 751 union partner in all program initiatives, ensuring joint decision-making and execution that aligns with the CBA and organizational priorities that support the development of effective training solutions
  • Oversee the daily work of a group of Instructional System Designers (ISDs), including setting and prioritizing ISDs' workloads and priorities to align team efforts with program objectives and delivery timelines
  • Develop and perform program roadmap, implement policies and procedures that align with larger department and organization goals and priorities
  • Maintain and report on program metrics and KPIs, create and update dashboards and regular status reports, use metric-driven insights to drive continuous improvement, and communicate findings to stakeholders to inform decision-making
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, collaborators, partners, and stakeholders
  • Establish and manage ongoing software and system access requirements for Curriculum Developers (3rd Party)
  • Collaborate across functions to ensure delivery of services that meet the contractual requirements defined in Boeing bargaining agreements
  • Acquire resources for projects and assist in removing blockers for the Instructional Design team
  • Manage curriculum library storage and access
  • Review and prioritize request for incoming new course request
  • Capable to support projects on 2nd and 3rd shift when needed
