The Senior Program Coordinator will support and coordinate Duke Community Affairs’ neighborhood engagement initiatives, with a focus on fostering strong partnerships and delivering impactful programs within the Duke-Durham Neighborhood Partnership (DDNP). The DDNP was established in 1996 to connect and collaborate with neighborhoods adjacent to campus. Since then, it has been a vital forum for sharing ideas and resources. Now comprising 14 neighborhood associations, the DDNP continues to serve as a strong network between the university and its surrounding communities. The Senior Program Coordinator will have strong organizational skills, relationship-building expertise, and a commitment to advancing equitable community development through collaborative engagement. The ideal candidate brings a warm, relational approach to community partnership, demonstrating empathy, dependability and a talent for building trust across diverse neighborhoods and stakeholder groups. This position is responsible for coordinating and facilitating community-driven priorities, maintaining comprehensive program documentation, and supporting the Senior Director of Community Development with strategic planning aligned with Duke’s Strategic Community Impact Plan. The role requires a collaborative leader who can build relationships across diverse stakeholders, manage operational processes, and ensure effective monitoring and reporting of outcomes.
