CIF funding, featuring high quality financing and high co-financing ratios, empowers developing countries, lowers risk, enables first-of-their-kind investments, and contributes to transformational change. www.cif.org The CIF is seeking a high-performing, adaptable, and detail-oriented Senior Program Assistant Consultant to support the Deputy CEO in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism. This role reports directly to the Deputy CEO and collaborates closely with the CIF leadership team and administrative staff.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience: High school diploma with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) and comfort with organizing data and managing information systems. Familiarity with procurement processes, event logistics, contract coordination, and P-card management.
  • Executive Support Expertise: Demonstrated success in providing high-level administrative and executive support, especially in fast-paced, front-office environments.
  • Judgment and Discretion: Strong personal integrity, sound judgment, and a proven ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Autonomy and Initiative: Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and take initiative in solving problems and managing shifting priorities.
  • Organizational and Planning Skills: Excellent ability to prioritize, coordinate, and execute tasks and events efficiently, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and intercultural communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

  • Operational Systems Knowledge: Experience using administrative and operational systems within large organizations (e.g., World Bank systems), with a sustained record of high performance.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with World Bank administrative systems and understanding of the administrative management of financial intermediary trust funds is a plus preferred. Proficiency in Spanish and or French to support the translation/review of official documents a plus.
  • Prior experience with financial intermediary funds and or climate multilateral funds.

Responsibilities

  • Exercise sound judgment in providing comprehensive executive support to the Deputy CEO, particularly in managing priorities, workflow, and the screening and drafting of high-level correspondence and documentation.
  • Strategically manage the Deputy CEO’s calendar and travel, coordinating with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Prepare briefing materials and ensure timely participation in key international events, meetings, and conferences.
  • Event and meeting support. Assist in organizing and coordinating key events and meetings involving the Deputy CEO (ie. CIF Trust Fund Committee meetings, COP, UNGA and WBG/IMF Annual and Spring meetings as well as team retreats and meetings), ensuring all logistical arrangements are flawlessly executed.
  • Proactively draft clear and thoughtful responses to inquiries from senior officials and partners; recommend appropriate courses of action where multiple options exist.
  • Develop and maintain an efficient workflow system for prioritizing, tracking, and following up on tasks. Manage document flow, email screening, and call handling to ensure smooth operations.
  • Coordinate cross-organizational initiatives such as training and development programs; take on special assignments in support of the Deputy CEO’s office to foster collaboration and team effectiveness. Support onboarding materials for staff.
  • Coordinate trust fund committee documents drafting for the Deputy CEO vertical (follow-up on deadline, coordinate review with MDBs, Trustee, Treasury Manager, Standing Committees and other stakeholders, etc.)
  • Leverage internal and external networks and resources to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
