As a Senior Production Supervisor in one of our state-of-the are facilities, you are responsible for supervising supervisors and executing production and logistics plans and overall operations of assigned area/shift to include labor relations, production, site security, quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2 years related experience OR High School Diploma/GED plus a minimum of 5 years related work experience.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage people and demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others.
  • Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complexity - The ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing requests while maintaining a culture of accountability and execution -with focus on results.
  • Strong troubleshooting, driving to root cause using RCA methodology.
  • Able to effectively function in a union environment and promote positive labor relations.
  • The ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, work overtime as needed and the ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position.

  • Processing, packing and mechanical experience a PLUS.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for directing and guiding supervisors and their activities for assigned area/shift in the execution of production and/or logistics plans.
  • Managing plant projects that drive and facilitate change and communicating strategic vision to employees, motivating them to work toward common plans and objectives.
  • Responsible for problem solving process to resolve and/or mitigate those operational issues that result in negative performance to plan as determined by the established escalation process.
  • Administer the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement/work rules and company policies and procedures in a consistent manner and provides input during planning and preparation for labor negotiations.
  • Ensure achievement of all area/shift KPIs; ensure adherence to and continuous improvement (C/I) for all area/shifts.
  • Participate in the development of and implements plans and policies to ensure compliance in all areas of responsibility.
  • Operates production lines in accordance with FDA guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP/SQF program guidelines.
  • Responsible for team development of employees to ensure proper mixing, machining, packaging, and logistics in assigned areas according to targeted specifications, to achieve total quality.
  • Assists in the development of new Operations Supervisors in all responsibilities.
  • Responsible for support of Autonomous Maintenance (AM) Training as directed by Operations Manager for assigned area/shift.
