About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: This position will design, implement, and maintain an inventory control cycle count program in partnership with the logistics team. The Sr. PC Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels through cycle counts, audits, reconciliation activities, and system updates. This role plays a critical part in supporting logistics and supply chain activities by ensuring material accuracy, minimizing discrepancies, and driving root-cause analysis for inventory issues. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts in partnership with Logistics Associates Validate inventory accuracy through physical counts compared to ERP/MRP system data. Investigate inventory variances, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions. Maintain organized and accurate inventory records in the inventory management system. Support full physical inventories and prepare required documentation. Analyzes current processes and systems and identifies and implements activities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of Materials Management functions within assigned area. Analyzes current ordering activities and industry trends to develop forecasts that anticipate specific customers’ future needs and expectations. Provides planning support to affiliates in response to forecasts. Coordinates and manages slow moving and obsolescence inventory and Leads periodic physical inventory management and audit activity. Coordinates sales Executes planning activity for customer accounts. Interfaces with affiliates and customers to provide value-added information to support daily operations and resolve complex or non-standard issues. Works with customer production control in product planning activities. Mentors and/or provide guidance to lower level colleagues. May coordinate special projects/requests as needed. Ensures compliance with general organization-wide and department-specific ISO/TS 16949 requirements. Participates in and supports environmental ISO 14001 and safety activities by developing supporting goals and objectives, attending required training, complying with established procedures and initiating and implementing corrective actions, as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Business with an emphasis on Materials Management or related field
  • 3+ Years of related experience
  • Experience working in Automotive preferred and/or inventory management experience
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills to resolve difficult or complicated situations that are often sensitive in nature
  • Customer service skills to promote and support a service-oriented environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of EDI software or systems used in the production control process
  • Project management skills including the ability to define program, project or process objectives, identify customers/stakeholders and their interests, plan steps, and to coordinate resources to accomplish goals and objectives in an effective and timely manner
