About The Role In this role, you’ll leverage your expertise in Search or related consumer product management domains to craft and execute a roadmap that helps viewers effortlessly find what they want — and discover what they didn’t know they’d love. As a key leader in this journey, you’ll be a force multiplier — balancing delightful user experiences with thoughtful monetization and subscription growth strategies. You’ll bring strong executional rigor, cross-functional collaboration, excellence in experimentation, and applied knowledge of AI/ML to create consumer features that drive measurable lifts in engagement, retention, and revenue. For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $204,000 - $303,000 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience in consumer search, discovery and personalization, video, or large-scale data-driven products
  • Expertise in recommendation systems, content metadata, search technologies, ML/AI, and A/B experimentation at scale
  • Exceptional communication skills — verbal, written, and visual — with the ability to engage senior product, business, and engineering leaders
  • Proven success leading complex, ambiguous projects across global teams with multiple stakeholders
  • A strong track record of driving measurable user engagement and monetization growth
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus

Responsibilities

  • Own the Search roadmap end-to-end: Lead the most widely used entertainment TV search experience in North America, defining and delivering a multi-year product vision
  • Champion product craftsmanship: Identify pain points and opportunities across user experience (with UX and UXR) and business levers (with Strategy and Vertical teams)
  • Collaborate seamlessly: Partner across technical, ads, design, business, and analytics functions to align goals, manage trade-offs, and communicate decisions effectively
  • Prioritize with impact: Draw hard lines on priorities informed by industry trends, user insights, company strategy, and data — ensuring we deliver high-ROI features
  • Be intensely data-driven: Analyze how new features and experiments affect engagement, monetization, and satisfaction; form strong, data-backed hypotheses for iteration
  • Evangelize product requirements: Translate insights into clear, detailed PRDs and align cross-functional teams through Roku’s planning and execution cycles
  • Monitor and optimize performance: Track consumer and business KPIs across Search dashboards; refine success criteria with analytics to ensure measurable outcomes
  • Champion compliance and trust: Partner with Legal, Privacy, and Security teams to ensure our technologies meet all applicable standards
  • Drive innovation through Gen-AI: Introduce next-generation capabilities that bring search and browse experiences closer together using LLMs and assistive intelligence
  • Lead with influence: Partner with engineering managers to deliver high-quality products on time, balancing engagement and revenue goals
  • Grow Search as a business: Cultivate partnerships and cross-functional relationships to uncover new growth opportunities and launch category-defining features
  • Be a domain expert: Develop a deep understanding of content metadata, machine learning, and relevance algorithms — and how they translate into user value
