Optum Rx is seeking a Senior Product Manager for our risk and stop loss products. This individual will be a product, and business leader, driving the evolution of multiple products. Scope of work includes early-stage product ideation, design, and development of new products; sales and client management strategic partnership; product lifecycle management. In this role, success will be measured by achievement of core business metrics including but not limited to product revenue and IOI, NPS, market adoption, and percentage of gross margin improvement over time. This role will interface with functional partners, customers, and cross-enterprise product and sales teams to design, develop and launch product solutions for new and existing customers across multiple market segments. Skills the role must leverage include strategic thinking, understanding patient and client needs, quantitative analysis, collaboration, decision making, operational execution and leading through ambiguous circumstances. This role is expected to partner effectively with operations, IT, marketing, finance, sales and other functional areas to lead cross-functional teams to develop and launch new or enhanced products. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-technical product development and/or consulting experience within a large, matrixed organization
  • Expert skills in defining product strategy, developing business cases and P&Ls, and implementing business plans
  • Experience thinking strategically and collaboratively to overcome obstacles and achieve project results
  • Experience delivering results and working through ambiguity in a matrixed organization
  • Experience communicating at all levels of an organization, including executive presentations
  • Self-directed and self-motivated with proven experience managing multiple projects, prioritizing deliverables, and meeting deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare industry in filed insurance and/or risk-based products
  • Experience working in the cell and gene therapy marketplace
  • Excellent analytical skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage growing product portfolio inclusive of financial performance, value proposition, market analysis, business alignment, service delivery, and revenue growth/forecasting
  • Review product performance against expectations and lead changes to product portfolio to improve competitive position and optimal product performance
  • Build relationships across the organization to determine and execute product roadmap
  • Develop a point of view and advocate for a position and product at all levels of the organization, including directly to executive leadership
  • Support client level solutioning and sales for large, strategic accounts
  • Manage & respond to changing market dynamics. Summarizing challenges, forecasting impact, and creating action plans for executive audience
  • Navigate ambiguity with ease
