About The Position

Palmetto is a leading clean tech company dedicated to accelerating the transition to a clean energy future. They offer an award-winning technology platform that empowers homeowners, businesses, and entrepreneurs to adopt renewable energy through simple, scalable, and innovative solutions, operating at the intersection of B2B and D2C. Palmetto provides software, financial products, and services for whole home electrification, aiming to make clean energy accessible to all. Palmetto Home, a division of Palmetto, focuses on democratizing the renewable energy and HVAC industries by providing homeowners with financial products for solar power, energy storage systems, and home efficiency. They also empower solar and HVAC sales professionals and installation companies with access to their proprietary platform, financing, customer management system, and milestone quality control system. As a Senior Product Manager for Palmetto Home, you will be responsible for the end-to-end product strategy and execution for one or more market segments within their consumer financing business. This includes product ownership of the core technical components that power origination, underwriting, onboarding, and servicing across all segments. This is a builder's role within a fast-growing business unit, offering the opportunity to define meaningful solutions by partnering with engineering, design, data, operations, business leaders, and external capital providers, installer partners, and service integrators to deliver scalable products that create durable value.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of product management experience, with meaningful time in consumer finance origination, servicing, capital markets, credit/risk, or adjacent domains
  • Proven track record owning a roadmap, leading sprint execution, and shipping independently
  • Deep fluency with platform workflows, API integrations, and decisioning systems connecting internal and third-party tools
  • Strong analytical orientation — comfortable defining metrics, pulling data, and connecting quantitative signals to product decisions
  • Iterative thinker with experience running experiments, learning from failure, and using those learnings to move faster
  • High-EQ communicator and influencer who can rally cross-functional teams around a clear vision without relying on authority
  • Bias toward action: disambiguates fast, moves toward clarity, and knows when to go hands-on
  • Entrepreneurial — comfortable starting from zero and building something meaningful from scratch

Nice To Haves

  • Background in B2B home improvement, solar, or consumer-facing financial products strongly preferred
  • Experience at a high-growth startup or during a period of significant product portfolio scaling is a strong plus

  • Drive the product roadmap for key components of Palmetto’s financing origination and servicing platform — from discovery through delivery and iteration
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog; partner with engineering and stakeholders to groom, build, test, and expand
  • Own OKRs that tie your team's work to measurable business unit and company objectives
  • Evaluate and evolve product strategy based on experiment results, usage data, and market signals

  • Partner with business development, operations, and servicing teams to uncover and prioritize the right problems
  • Develop deep expertise in Palmetto’s customer segments — homeowners, installers, capital providers, etc — through ongoing research, testing, and analysis. Be in the field and work directly with internal and external users.
  • Translate customer insight into clear problem definitions, scoped solutions, and confident decisions
  • Balance commercial and technical perspectives when navigating tradeoffs
  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across operations, business development, servicing, business systems, platform, data, and consumer product teams
  • Influence prioritization and action across dotted-line teams without direct authority
  • Deploy modern product development practices: ample discovery, rapid validation, outcome-based delivery, iteration
  • Actively identify and apply AI-powered tools and approaches to accelerate discovery cycles, improve team productivity, and make smarter use of data and platform capabilities
