Senior Product Manager, Growth

Instacart
5dRemote

About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to own lifecycle experiences across Instacart: helping new and existing customers discover more value on our marketplace, build habits, and deepen their relationship with Instacart over time. You will be responsible for defining when, where, and how we engage users across their journey, from helping new customers trust us for fresh food delivery and complete their first orders, to encouraging adoption of features like IC+ membership, family and group ordering, and retailer loyalty benefits, to giving existing users compelling reasons to come back more often. You’ll use a broad toolkit—in-app experiences, onboarding flows, education, personalization, incentives, gamification, email, and push—to remove friction, address user anxieties, and highlight the most relevant value for each customer. This is a unique opportunity to have end‑to‑end ownership of a critical lifecycle portfolio that is core to Instacart’s growth.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in consumer‑facing products with a focus on growth, lifecycle, or engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategic vision for a complex product area—setting clear goals, defining key performance metrics, and aligning cross‑functional teams around a shared lifecycle roadmap.
  • Strong project and portfolio management skills, including running many high‑velocity, scrappy experiments against multiple data‑driven themes in parallel.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to unpack inter‑related metrics, generate insights from data, and clearly communicate outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ownership, including taking full responsibility for projects, driving significant improvements in key metrics while managing budget, and ensuring initiatives land on time and within scope.
  • Ability to inspect and refine consumer experiences using strong product and UX intuition, ensuring they are simple, compelling, and trustworthy.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced and constantly changing environment, quickly adapting and iterating based on new information.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a growth, lifecycle, or CRM‑oriented role, envisioning or evaluating consumer‑facing experiences across app, email, and push.
  • Experience working on onboarding, habit formation, feature adoption, incentives, or re‑engagement products.
  • Familiarity with experimentation platforms and lifecycle/CRM tools, and how to integrate them into a cohesive user journey.

Responsibilities

  • Use data to uncover lifecycle opportunities
  • Envision and ship lifecycle experiences across channels
  • Run high‑velocity experimentation
  • Own lifecycle strategy, metrics, and impact
  • Champion high‑quality, user‑centric experiences
  • Thrive in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment

Benefits

  • Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits in each location where our employees work.
  • This role is eligible for a new hire equity grant as well as annual refresh grants.
