Discord is used by over 200 million people every month for many different reasons, but there’s one thing that nearly everyone does on our platform: play video games. Over 90% of our users play games, spending a combined 1.5 billion hours playing thousands of unique titles on Discord each month. Discord plays a uniquely important role in the future of gaming. We are focused on making it easier and more fun for people to talk and hang out before, during, and after playing games. We’re building a new 3P Commerce platform that helps game studios bring their in-game items directly to players on Discord. From social shopping and group-driven discovery to seamless mobile buying experiences, we’re focused on making it easier and more fun for players to purchase the items they care about, together. As the Product Manager for Commerce (Consumer Experiences), you’ll define and build the end-to-end surfaces that underpin how players shop on Discord. You’ll own the user-facing product experiences across mobile and desktop, lead experiments that explore how social behaviors drive purchase intent, and work closely with game studios to ensure what we build fits naturally into how their players want to buy.
