About The Position

As part of the Product Management team, you will manage the Product Development and Production (full product life cycle) for the tailored clothing category within the Polo brand for Men's & Boys. You will partner with the Design, Merchandising, Technical Design, and Raw Materials Teams, as well as Sourcing Offices, Factories & Mills to ensure the integrity of product from salesman sample to bulk production. The Senior Associate, Product Management will support the development and execution of the product strategy for the brand to create best overall value in terms of product, price, lead-time and quality.

Requirements

  • Must have product development or related experience; full product life cycle, from design vision to production ready utilizing technical product knowledge and in-depth understanding of all product components
  • Proven ability to optimize production outcomes through understanding the garment manufacturing process; factory capabilities, cost negotiation and calendar management.
  • Strong communication, influencing and cross-functional team collaboration skills; ability to work closely with Design, Technical Design, Raw Materials, and Merchandising Teams, as well as Sourcing Offices
  • Proven ability to quickly pivot and problem solve utilizing innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills with detailed attention to product information
  • Strong computer skills; Excel, Outlook, PLM, Airtable, Vibe

Responsibilities

  • Participate in Board Review with Design and Merchandising to establish product pipeline and TD track
  • Handoff seasonal line information to Brand Merchandising for style number set up/ creation (currently set up in Airtable/Vibe)
  • Analyze costing and establish pricing options to optimize the buy and help to achieve brand target margins
  • Track deliveries on a weekly basis and report slides and any findings to sourcing partners, merchandising and regional teams as needed.
  • Partner with Design and PMT Manager on all design approvals and comments and help to communicate changes to OS partners.
  • Partner with manager to assist in the launch of seasonal made to measure fabric and trim books and keep all key partners on track with made to measure milestones and developments.
  • Drive the optimized lead-times and calendars from development to store for main line, special projects and made to measure activities.
  • Develop and create timelines with sourcing offices and vendors on raw material and trim sourcing and approvals to ensure production delivery deadlines are met
  • Lead and monitor the approval process (proto, salesmen samples and all components) to ensure on time arrival of all samples to the showroom.
  • Manage the PO Handoff process and ensure product information and costing are cross-checked before ops team pass off.
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers to address development and resolve production issues
  • Review and update all costs from initial to final stages
  • Engage in daily correspondence with sourcing partners and help lead the bi-weekly production meetings.
  • Ensure fit approvals are approved to meet delivery deadlines
