Job Summary: We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer and Internal Systems Expert to lead the evolution of the tools that power our business. This role is about operational excellence over aesthetic delight. You will be the architect of high-density internal applications and Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards that help our 500+ employees make faster, better decisions. If you love the logic of complex workflows and want to see your work directly improve an employee’s daily life by making their job "not suck," this is your role. The Role at a Glance: 75% Research & Synthesis: Deep discovery, user flows, and wireframing. You’ll talk to users to figure out why a feature is "broken" and map out an improved version. 25% Execution & Maintenance: Delivering high-fidelity designs in Figma and evolving our in-house Design System Library (DSL).

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years in Product Design: Specifically focusing on internal-facing tools or data-heavy applications
  • Full-Stack Design Proficiency: You are an expert in the end-to-end UX process, from conducting deep-dive user research and synthesis to high-fidelity UI execution.
  • Internal Systems Expert: You understand that for internal tools, "efficiency" is the primary metric. You know how to organize a page so a user can glean importance from data at a glance.
  • Figma Power User: Expert-level proficiency in Figma is a must. You know how to build prototypes that simulate real-world behavior.
  • The "Non-Rigid" Thinker: You are comfortable with ambiguity and don't need a playbook. You can facilitate your own meetings and gather requirements independently.
  • Engineering Liaison: You enjoy the "give and take" with developers. You can explain your design rationale while respecting technical feasibility.
  • Stakeholder Management: You have the confidence to say "no" to feature requests that don't align with the user's core needs, and the communication skills to explain why.

Responsibilities

  • Discovery & User Research (25%): Partner with Product team to conduct interviews, synthesize pain points, and document the current vs. future state of internal workflows.
  • Design Execution (25%): Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for information-dense applications and BI dashboards.
  • Design System Ownership (20%): Manage and contribute to our homegrown DSL. You’ll identify missing components and collaborate with Engineering to build reusable, scalable elements.
  • Usability & Validation (15%): Conduct usability testing scripts and sessions. You’ll watch users interact with your prototypes to validate that the design actually "does the thing it was intended to do."
  • Engineering Partnership (15%): Work side-by-side with the Engineering team. You’ll provide detailed annotations in Jira, negotiate technical constraints, and review builds to ensure they meet your specs.
