As a Senior Product Designer for Experience UX, you will be the primary architect for how users navigate and interact with the Roblox platform. This is a high-impact role requiring a blend of systematic thinking and meticulous craft. You will own the information architecture that bridges the gap between the Roblox app and the immersive experiences within it. You will lead design the ecosystem of UI and controls within Roblox experiences, where our users spend the majority of their time on the platform. This requires solving complex problems, such as translating 2D interfaces into 3D environments, while ensuring flows remain adaptive across mobile, desktop, console, and XR. You aren't just building components; you are defining the universal lexicon for a global community of creators and players.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in product design, managing scalable systems, design patterns, and information architecture.
  • Strong craft across visual design, interaction design, and design systems.
  • Information architecture experience: A proven track record of organizing complex content into intuitive, navigable frameworks.
  • Cross-platform experience: Knowledge of designing for mobile, desktop, console, and XR environments.
  • Proficiency in Figma and relevant visual tools.
  • Exceptional communication: The ability to tell a compelling story, move stakeholders to action, and document systems with precision.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced prototyping using Origami, After Effects, 3D tools are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Drive UX strategy: Collaborate with different teams across the org and navigate stakeholder needs and expectations. Partner with leadership to align the design vision with long-term company goals.
  • Architect systems: Design cross-org, system-level navigation and information architecture that scales across millions of experiences.
  • Deliver in-experience controls: Define the visual language and interaction patterns for in-experience controls that serve both our players and creators, ensuring a seamless transition between the platform and experiences.
  • Influence & negotiate: Confidently present strategic design reasoning to leadership, navigating stakeholder environments with diplomacy and authority.
  • Bridge 2D and 3D: Define and lead the UX strategy for illustrating spatial selections in 3D, translating innovation into production-ready solutions.
  • Iterate with data and UXR: Work closely with PMs and data scientists to land A/B tests, using data-driven and user research insights to refine UX strategies and improve user retention
