Position: Senior UX Designer Job Location: 10900 NE 4th Street, Floor 8, Bellevue, WA 98004 Duties: Identify and evaluate potential opportunities to improve existing interactive designs and new products. Implement user experience strategies, including user interviews and surveys, user journeys, story boards, and contextual inquiries. Assess gaps between business expectations and user experience strategies. Leverages a deep understanding of trends in user consumption habits to develop and improve interaction designs and user experience strategies. Independently arrive at possible solutions for interactive designs. Analyze existing data (e.g., web analytics, user surveys, customer support calls) to arrive at possible solutions for interactive designs. Build, maintain, and enhance effective internal and external partnerships and clearly draft valuable information and seek input. Communicate designs with internal and external teams to convey design initiatives. Consult with leaders of business unit(s) and get their feedback. Bring ideas and technical solutions proactively to business partners and stakeholders. Follow best practices for qualitative and quantitative research including data analysis techniques and organizational research requirements. Partner with research and product teams to define goals, define success metrics for research projects, test features, and incorporate user feedback into design iterations. Analyze by translating research insights and metrics and transform them into actionable recommendations that impact design and business strategies. Define user profiles, testing scenarios, and test plans for user testing. Identify UX gaps and apply user testing feedback to iterate and update designs. Define and document design details through process flows, site maps, wireframes, and functional specifications. Adhere to and use interaction patterns and templates to design consistent and scalable design solutions that account for primary and secondary use cases and complex data exchanges and cover complete error conditions. Envision and develop scalable and engaging interactions for multiple platforms (i.e., web and mobile). Leverage experience designing and building voice assistant skills and flows for market products. Implement best practices while designing conversations for multimodal interactions (e.g., voice, chat, haptic feedback, etc.). Own overall end-to-end experience including specifics of User Interface (UI) layouts. Define and document design details with accurate design specifications (e.g., position, padding, font size) in multiple formats. Perform visual quality assurances against design specifications and rapidly solve issues. Ensure adherence to and the usage of templates and style guides in design solutions and contribute to style guides. Adhere to and use interaction patterns and templates to design prototypes that account for primary and secondary use cases, complex data exchanges, and error conditions and contribute to the pattern library. Design and develop prototypes, technical proofs of concept (e.g., interaction models, data transfer, functional user interface components) using Figma, Photoshop, and Adobe Suite Products. Collaborate with product, business, research, and engineering partners to identify user requirements, craft user stories, and align all parties with a product development strategy. Partner with engineering teams to understand technical limitations and level of effort for feature building. Conduct design specification hand-offs to the engineering team for final implementations. Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Product Design, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related area and 3 years of experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area; OR Master's degree or the equivalent in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Product Design, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related area and 1 year of experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area. Skills required: Experience with B2B2C business models related to chatbots and voice assistants. Experience with Natural Language Processing related to voice assistants: Amazon Alexa. Experience with conversational flows for multiple modes of interactions. Experience with User Experience (UX) design ownership of high-level design flows and product and work streams for high-visibility products. Experience with Visual User Interface (UI) design wireframing and prototyping. Experience with Adobe Illustrator, XD, Figma, and Sketch. Experience collaborating with stakeholders to solve shared business problems. Experience contributing to style guides and adhering to templates and style guides to design consistent and scalable design solutions. Experience defining, documentation, and handing-off design details through process flows, site maps, wireframes, and functional specifications. Experience with conversational dialogue for smart assistants. Experience with the software development lifecycle and supporting software development teams to build products and features. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills. Salary Range: $110,906/year to $216,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
