We’re seeking a Senior Process Engineer who has a strong technical understanding of multiple water and wastewater treatment processes and can lead overall process design for facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, environmental, chemical engineering other related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in water and wastewater treatment industry.
  • 5+ years in water quality analysis, treatment evaluations, process design, and regulatory compliance assessments.
  • Demonstrated ability in biological, physical, chemical process modeling, hydraulics, and principals of wastewater treatment plant design.
  • Ability to read and understand civil, mechanical, structural, and electrical drawings.
  • Ability to create piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Proficient with MS Office products and other standard software packages.
  • Proficient with CAD and other design software platforms.
  • Location: This is a remote-based position that requires occasional travel to sites in the Inter-Mountain Western U.S. region plus the State of Texas.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with Biowin a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Translate customer requirements into functional system designs.
  • Review pre-construction design and documentation.
  • Support the sales team by assisting with technical design, estimating hours, and highlighting logistical challenges.
  • Generate functional system descriptions and diagrams.
  • Provide ongoing engineering support.
  • Perform system calculations from preliminary to final design.
  • Provide markups for plans and lead cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with project staff, other disciplines, subconsultants, clients, and reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
  • Manage and maintain project documentation, including meeting project schedules, budgets, and scope.
  • Assist in proposal development, scopes of work, and fee schedule preparation.
  • Mentor junior staff with technical and professional development.
  • Review and approve final design of projects.
