We’re seeking a Senior Process Engineer who has a strong technical understanding of multiple water and wastewater treatment processes and can lead overall process design for facilities.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, environmental, chemical engineering other related field.
8+ years of experience in water and wastewater treatment industry.
5+ years in water quality analysis, treatment evaluations, process design, and regulatory compliance assessments.
Demonstrated ability in biological, physical, chemical process modeling, hydraulics, and principals of wastewater treatment plant design.
Ability to read and understand civil, mechanical, structural, and electrical drawings.
Ability to create piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
Proficient with MS Office products and other standard software packages.
Proficient with CAD and other design software platforms.
Location: This is a remote-based position that requires occasional travel to sites in the Inter-Mountain Western U.S. region plus the State of Texas.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree preferred.
Experience with Biowin a plus.

Responsibilities

Translate customer requirements into functional system designs.
Review pre-construction design and documentation.
Support the sales team by assisting with technical design, estimating hours, and highlighting logistical challenges.
Generate functional system descriptions and diagrams.
Provide ongoing engineering support.
Perform system calculations from preliminary to final design.
Provide markups for plans and lead cost estimates.
Coordinate with project staff, other disciplines, subconsultants, clients, and reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
Manage and maintain project documentation, including meeting project schedules, budgets, and scope.
Assist in proposal development, scopes of work, and fee schedule preparation.
Mentor junior staff with technical and professional development.
Review and approve final design of projects.
