Meet the team: Join our dynamic process/manufacturing engineering team at the San Diego Product Innovation Center, where we lead and work along side our cross functional partners on transferring products, design changes, processes and equipment from Design to Commercial Manufacturing across Dexcom Global Manufacturing sites. We are very involved in various projects at various stages of the design life cycle of a product, such as developing new products/processes, deploying improved iterations of current products into manufacturing and ensuring compliance with regulatory rules and regulations that govern Dexcom’s Commercial products. The Senior Process Engineer will possess a deep knowledge base combined with strong independent thinking skills. You should have experience in new product introductions with familiarity in design controls with a focus on the design transfer phases of a product and/or product change. Where you come in: Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to identify and implement new products or design changes into manufacturing with focus on maintaining manufacturing KPIs (e.g. Yield, Output, Costs, Quality) Utilize statistical methods, including Gauge R&R and DOE techniques to identify key process variables, investigate and resolve operational issues, and optimize manufacturing processes for enhanced product quality, efficiency, and scalability. Work closely with Ops Project Managers, Pilot, Manufacturing, Equipment Engineering, Supply Chain, R&D, Process Dev, Quality, Labeling, etc to support successful NPI transfer and production scale-up. Independently plan, manage, and prioritize tasks/projects, set and track progress toward goals, and provide regular updates to stakeholders including management. Lean in on and provide input to Design and Process requirements (e.g. FMEAs, Product/Process Specifications, Validation Plans, Process Validation Strategies, and Product Configurational Commercialization Strategies) Responsible for bridging product development, systems integration, and manufacturing process optimization. Ensures smooth design transfer from R&D to production while maintaining compliance and efficiency across the product lifecycle. What makes you successful: Proven ability to thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. Demonstrate strong communication capabilities through written reports, presentations, and regular updates to management. Identify and assess risks associated with new products, processes, equipment, materials, and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure best solutions for implementation Technical Project Management – the ability to lead and manage projects from concept to design and implementation from an Engineering Perspective, including design/change controls projects. Experience in the development, transfer, validation, support, and optimization of high-volume and/or multiple product manufacturing processes within a regulated industry. Proficient in experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation of experiments; experience with JMP or Minitab is desired. Experience with Change Management and Document Control Systems, Asset Management Systems, and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is required.
