The Opportunity The Senior Process Engineer is responsible for managing multiple large-scale projects within an assigned functional area or across multiple entities and takes ownership of the project lifecycle overall by guiding teams and staff, facilitating communication between stakeholders, and monitoring progress toward project goals. The role ensures that the project is completed successfully and provides support to team members and stakeholders as they complete essential tasks. It leads and provides guidance and support to project team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field of study required; Master's Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of project management leading large complex projects including factors of efficiency, quality, cost and experience required, preferably in the healthcare industry
  • 1+ years group facilitation experience required
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience working in a lean setting preferred
  • Use of LEAN, PDSA, change management techniques, statistical process control
  • Experience facilitating teams in the design of projects to solve problems
  • Experience coaching peers or leaders
  • Experience managing relationships with project leaders
  • Experience establishing learning systems and visual control systems
  • Able to provide evidence of successful improvements

Responsibilities

  • Develops comprehensive project plans and monitors and manages projects from initiation through completion.
  • Secures required resources and uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes.
  • Manages projects to ensure on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs.
  • Communicates regularly on project status with project stakeholders.
  • Owns project plans for multiple large-scale projects.
  • Provides guidance to project coordinators and project managers.
  • Identifies potential risks early, analyzes the possible impact, and develops mitigation strategies.
