About the Role: The Private Banking Director establishes the direction, budget, policies, and business development goals for Private Banking. Their leadership will set the tone for the management of these teams with the objective of achieving departmental goals and maximizing growth and profitability in a manner consistent with the values and interests of the Bank. Manages the overall level of performance, profitability and strategic direction of the Private Bank Responsible for developing forward looking (3-5 year) plan for the entire Private Banking footprint Position will require travel throughout the 8 Western State MSA Strategic focus/ability to hire new/experienced private bankers across our markets—key requirement 10 years minimum of high-level proven team leadership skills Identify additional new streams of revenue and collaborate with other bank leaders to create said delivery Detailed involvement with all related business development strategic plans (including other lines of business) Monitor and coordinate activities to ensure all compliance and audit requirements are implemented and met Effectively lead all teams to achieve higher levels of efficiency Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes. Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training. Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description. May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert. Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Columbia Bank corporate culture in all actions and words. About You: Education Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent work experience), Required. Experience 15 years — Private Banking Experience (10 years inclusive of a leadership position) Skills Seasoned Leader with extensive market knowledge and subject matter expertise Must work collaboratively with executive management, credit, and other leadership across the Bank Understands the importance of service as the key client engagement methodology High-level operational and risk management knowledge Strong financial acumen and analytical abilities Proficient with all necessary job tools (Office, Excel, Sales Force, nCino) etc. Travel Requirements Frequent travel will be required to perform the above duties correctly. The pay range for this role is $190,000.00 to $350,000.00. The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
