A Brief Overview We are seeking a visionary Senior Principal Systems Engineer to architect, govern, and transform our Microsoft 365 ecosystem, AI-powered solutions, and custom digital platforms. This senior technical leadership role owns the strategic direction, security, compliance, and engineering excellence across our collaboration platform, AI capabilities, and business applications. You will define the 3-5 year roadmap, lead enterprise-scale migrations, lead digital transformations, architect full-stack and AI solutions, and establish governance frameworks that enable secure, modern work and intelligent transformation. This is a hands-on technical leadership position requiring deep expertise across M365, AI/ML platforms, full-stack development, and exceptional cross-functional influence.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Masters preferred) required
Typically 20+ years Relevant work experience in Systems Engineering or a similar role, preferably in a large-scale environment. required
AI & Copilot Solutions (New) 3+ years architecting and implementing AI solutions, specifically Microsoft Copilot for M365 and Power Platform
Experience with Copilot Studio, Graph API for AI, and custom agent development
Knowledge of AI governance, prompt engineering, and LLM integration patterns
Experience with AI security controls and compliance requirements
SharePoint Framework (Enhanced) 5+ years architecting and developing SharePoint solutions with 3+ years focused on SPFx
Expert knowledge of SPFx development using TypeScript, React, Node.js, and PnPjs
Experience with SharePoint migrations (on-premises to Online) and modernization strategies
Knowledge of Graph API integration, SharePoint taxonomy, and information architecture
M365 & Cloud 10+ years enterprise systems engineering with 5+ years focused on Microsoft 365
Expert-level knowledge of Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, and Power Platform
Deep hands-on experience with Entra ID, Conditional Access, and identity governance
Full-Stack Development 5+ years architecting enterprise web applications with React, TypeScript, .NET Web API, and Entity Framework Core
Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Azure SQL database design
Power Platform 3+ years architecting enterprise Power Platform solutions and governance frameworks
Simpplr Platform 3+ years architecting and governing Simpplr Intranet as a Service Implementations
Experience with Simpplr governance, analytics, AI features, and extensibility framework
Knowledge of Simpplr integration patterns with Microsoft 365 and enterprise systems
Executive-level communication with ability to translate complex AI/technical concepts to business value
Proven ability to influence without authority across all organizational levels
Strategic thinking with ability to develop 3-5 year technology and AI adoption roadmaps
Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
Exceptional problem-solving and incident management capabilities
Mentoring and coaching experience with senior engineers across multiple domains

Responsibilities

AI Solution Architecture & Copilot Leadership
Copilot Solution Architecture Lead architectural design sessions to translate business requirements into comprehensive, secure, and scalable AI solution roadmaps
Define governance models and "safety rails" for Copilot usage across Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and custom applications
Architect security and compliance measures (data loss prevention, access controls) using Microsoft Purview and Entra ID
Design integration strategies between Copilot and enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, Microsoft Fabric, Synapse) using APIs and connectors
Serve as technical bridge between executive stakeholders and delivery teams, communicating complex AI architecture decisions
Develop AI adoption frameworks, usage policies, and ROI measurement strategies
Copilot Solution Development Leadership
Oversee development of custom Copilot agents, plugins, and connectors using Copilot Studio and Microsoft Graph API
