The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) Long Range Radars (LRR) department is looking for a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to provide subject matter expertise for concept development, architectural design, requirements generation & flow-down, modeling and simulation, systems analysis, integration, test and evaluation of world-class Missile Defense & Sensor Systems. Requirements

  • Typically requires Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with radar system concepts such as detection, discrimination, track, and/or signal processing algorithms.
  • Experience interfacing with customers and leading technical solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with system level requirements development, documentation and maintenance and/or requirements development and design of system level software architecture.
  • Experience with the development and coding of system models, algorithms, test vectors and analysis tools in support of analyzing radar requirements and performance.
  • Experience with developing, documenting and maintaining processes, methods and tools.
  • Proven ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or related discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing radar system performance data with respect to requirements.
  • Identifying performance deficiencies and proposing solutions.
  • Defining and prototyping new algorithms to enhance system performance.
  • Presenting plans, designs and system performance to peers, internal leadership and external customers.
  • Providing subject matter expertise to agile software development teams to ensure proper implementation of requirements.
